Two New Drugs To Treat Breast Cancer PhotoToday, the women who have breast cancer do not have to be worried. It is because there are some other ways found by some people who joint in the group of cancer experts. Those people have found about the other ways that can be used to treat that cancer. They have issued that the women who have or infected by this cancer can use some other drugs to inhibite the tumor increase. In this case, the drugs are aromatase and tamoxifen. Those two drugs can act as the inhibitor to inhibite the increase of the estrogen. In this case, as it is known that the most common form of the breast tumor was coming from the estrogen hormone. But, the experts said that the drugs aromatase and tamoxifen can be used or added to the addicts after those two drugs have gotten a systematic review of medical research on the subject. On the other word, it can be said that those two drugs already could be used.

An aromatase inhibitor is a kind of drugs which can be used to reduce the amount of estrogen produced in the body. Meanwhile, the tamoxifen is a kind of drugs that can be used to block the action of estrogen on cancer tumors that are estrogen –receptor positive. And based on the paper, issued by the American Society of Clinical Oncologists (ASCO) and published July 12 in the Journal of Clinical Oncology essentially brings guidelines in alignment with today’s practice., it can be concluded that the women who have the cancer on their breast could use those two drugs as long as five years after the tamoxifen therapy. It aimed to reduce the risk that the cancer will reoccur.

But, unfortunately, there is a problem in this case. It is the cost of the drugs. According to the new guidelines, 20 milligrams of tamoxifen costs $21.90 a month, while Arimidex can cost $379.80. So, it makes the women are difficult to decide to use the drugs in attempt to treat the breast cancer.
